The instructions say that I need a size 2 circular needle but the paper band around the ball of yarn says to use needle size 3-5. What size needle am I supossed to use? Please, help! What is the correct size to use. Thanks, Auxi

Hi Auxi,
This is in response to the message that you sent to me. In order to get the gauge recommended on the pattern, the recommended needle size for the Little Bubbles Baby Kit is a US size 2. I would first knit a swatch to check gauge, and you may need to adjust your needle size though.

Yep! you need to swatch. I'm knitting this right now on size 4's. Swatch, swatch, swatch...it's the only way to know for sure. :)

You probably need to knit a swatch with the different needle sizes to see what gives you the gauge that the pattern says you need. The paper band around the ball of yarn merely provides a suggestion as to what needle sizes will give you the gauge it mentions; it is not a requirement.

Good luck with your project.
