I though it was supposed to be Spring!?

I live in Maine where we expect to have winter, but this winter has been exceptional. We have had over 100 inches of snow this year, and that is in the southern part of the state. Today it is in the mid-30's with 20 mph winds. Isn't Spring supposed to be warm?? This isn't warm, not even close!! Now that I've vented....

I just started knitting socks in January. Kelley's podcast about being deserted on an island convinced me to try. I am totally hooked. That is all I have knit since January. I started out using I Can't Believe I'm Knitting Socks for my instructions. I found this book to be very easy to follow. I have since used Getting Started Knitting Socks and Sensational Socks. My favorite is Getting Started Knitting Socks. The photos are great and the instructions exceptional.

Today I decided that I need to knit something other than socks. I started a burp cloth from my all-time favorite knitting book, Mason Dixon Knitting using Sugar 'n Cream in Baby Stripes. A nice spring color!!
