Kelley, I am an always will be a very big fan of your podcast. I feel sad when a week goes by and I don't get to listen to you. There's just one thing that's been bothering me....I understand your being intimidated by Math... when I was a child, I had a very insensitive teacher who told me when I was frustrated with complex computations that it was okay if I didn't learn math because, after all, I was a girl. It made me very angry and only want to learn as much as I could to prove her wrong. As an adult my encounter with that teacher still impacts me. I've learned to catch myself when I begin to say anything disparaging about my knowledge or abilities in science or math, because even though I don't feel that skilled at it, I don't want to let other women and young women think that it's impossible to be great at it. Mastering math after all is really about number sense and practice... and both can be accomplished by many.

Love those samplers - the only problem is deciding which one! Or how to justify all of them. :)

Kelley
I really enjoy your podcasts and in fact recently went on a motorcycle trip with my husband and having you along via my ipod made the ride very enjoyable! My only criticism is actuall very minor...the sound variation is pronounced when you are interviewing someone. I don't know if there is a way with todays technology to correct this...you come through loud and clear, but the peson on the other end of the phone seems to be thousands of miles away...oh just read the comments above...thanks so much! Hi Cozyknitting,

We did have trouble recording the podcast this week - we moved to a new room downstairs, but still didn't have enough padding to block out extraneous noises. Next week, Kelley is going to try a less sensitive microphone so you only get her voice. It should get better!

I had a lot of trouble hearing the podcast this week. The voices are soft and everyone sat too far away from the microphones. I was trying to sit at my spinning wheel away from the computer, and the fan that was blowing on me drowned out the interview. I had to sit directly in front of the speakers, but still missed a lot of what was said.

I love it when you guys talk about the yarn! I really am a fiberholic. I enjoy my collection of yarn even if I just look at it, feel it, and just knit swatches. I must say that I have a wonderful husband who doesn't mind at all me buying more yarn even though I have a closet full because it brings me so much joy.
