The connection between the weight of a ball of yarn and the length of the yarn in that ball can be a mystery for some knitters. Understanding how weight is used in the yarn manufacturing industry makes everything else much more understandable.

Thank you so much for discussing yarn weight. Since I am still new to knitting--this has helped me enormously since I am going through EZ's Knitting Workshop. Thanks again--

I have been listening to the podcast since the beginning, and have enjoyed so many of the wonderful tidbits of advice. But the new one on weight explained so much to me that I just had never taken into account. Thanks so much for taking the time to inform and entertain us each week. Enjoy Ireland.

Very informative! I really never thought of the weight before, I've always just looked at the yardage and now I'm going to really consider the grams and ounces when I buy for patterns.
