I ordered SHEAR SPIRIT after listening to your interview with Gail Zucker and it is wonderful! What a fabulous book -- beautiful pictures, interesting stories, and great patterns. Now, here is the big question . . . Is there any way to know what KnitPicks yarns we can substitute for the patterns in the book? Right now, I'd love to order yarn for the Low Tide Crossover Vee Sweater on page 22. Thanks a bunch.

Or the second. I'm going to put it in manually this time.

Just listened to your podcast. Maine had an open farm day yesterday and I missed it. I saw it on the news last night. A woman was at a local alpaca farm, about 5 miles from my house, and had all this wonderful yarn. So I just had to look it up. When I heard the podcast this morning and you talking about the starter kit, I just had to send you this link!! .

I just listened to the podcast & heard the comments at the end about the Taos Woolfest; I just learned to knit in Jan. but am making my plans to go to the Taos festival in October. I live in south Georgia, so if I can make it there, if feel sure that you & Gale can as well. I'm really anxious to get her book, as well.

I've been contemplating a knitting tattoo, as well. I'm thinking on the inside of my ankle. I've got a design worked out (ball of yarn pierced with needles centered in a fleur de lis) but I am on the fence about color vs just black.

Just listened to your podcast featuring the interview with Gale Zucker and I really enjoyed it. There are a few fiber farms in my state, including one near my home. They are fun places to take children.
I especially enjoyed the part where you and Ms Zucker talked about tattoos! I looked up the tattoo you mentioned on Flikr and it was beautiful. Now, you have ME looking up info on knitting themed tattoos!! Kelly, I am 50 years old, I have 5 tattoos I got when I was younger and I love them all!! I think you should go for it! As long as you put a lot of thought and research into it, you will never be sorry! (the research is half of the fun!)
Make sure to let us know what you do!
thanks for such fun podcasts!
