The Sweater Stone is a great tool for both hand-made and store bought sweaters. I have to admit that I really hate dry cleaning my wool sweaters as much as I should and therefore my sweaters get very pilly. When we first started carrying the sweater stone we tested it on one of Kelley's favorite Fair Isle sweater made out of Merino Style and it removed all the scattered pills with very little effort. I was immediately convinced that this was a tool for me. It does shed the pumice stone a little, but if you lay your sweater flat on a table and follow up with a lint remover, all your unwanted yarn pills and pumice residue will be gone and your sweater will look brand new. In comparison to a pill comb or a sweater shaver, I have found this to be much more effective and even.

I am glad to hear this. I don't know anyone who has a sweater stone, so I wondered how well they worked. I have meant to order one of these for awhile but forgotten. I will be sure to add it to my next order. Thanks!
