I use several tricks to make my knitting projects as simple as possible. The key is to break down the stitch count into small manageable pieces so that I can spot a mistake quickly. And, it makes it much easier to carry even complicated knitting along with me without worrying about losing my place in the pattern.
Our grandson, Walter Baker Petkun, was born on July 14th! That means I have been frantically working on the last two kimonos. I’ve put the Knitter’s Almanac Pi Shawl on hold but have thoroughly enjoyed following along with the other knitters in the Elizabeth’s Year Knit-A-Long group in Yahoo. Such a lovely collection of knitters!
