Every artist has a set of favorite tools that are a magical blend of usefulness and empowerment. As long as you have your bag with you, you can fix any knitting problem. Over the years I have defined my own collection of tools that I consider to be absolutely essential. I always keep them within reach when I am knitting. Since every knitter has their own style, her own requirements will be little different from mine. But, I will share my must-have list with you in case my collection inspires you to add a few things to your own tool kit.

What’s On My Needles
Such a frustrating week! Good frustrating but still difficult to handle. I have always been jealous of my friends who can function well on just a few hours of sleep every night. That much more time to knit! Unfortunately, I require 8 hours minimum with 9 hours being preferable. If I could pare that down to 5 hours, I wouldn’t have been so frustrated this week.
I started my Elizabeth ’s Year Aran Cardigan this weekend and it reminds me of knitting a Fair Isle Sweater. After every single round, I want to knit another just to see how the beautiful cables rogress. With Fair Isle Sweaters, you want to see how the color patterns are working. I could easily have spent my entire week happily knitting on this cardigan. I guess I haven’t caught on that vacation time is over.
The Hurry Up Sweater is also so appealing. I’m all finished up with the baby blanket so I want to get my fingers working on my next mindless project. Oh, I really wish I had more hours in my day!
