Lace shawls come in several shapes. These shapes aren’t just a question of fashion. Some are easier to knit while traveling and some are easier to knit because they are long strips of repeated lace patterns. Before you choose your lace project be sure to think about your knitting surroundings (traveling or staying home) and how you would like to use your finished shawl.

What’s On My Needles
I’ve finished with all my “work” knitting so I was able to return to my Aran sweater and do some spinning. We are taking a long weekend in Central Oregon with some friends. Lots of quiet time sitting next to a roaring fire!

To keep up with my knitting progress during the week, be sure to check out my personal blog.

Hi Kelly,
You mentioned that you're disappointed that the news podcasts available on audible.com are poorly read. Now, I know this podcast went up a while ago, so maybe you've already discovered this, but npr.org has nearly all of their stories available in listenable formats, and I think they're great. They're my favorite way to hear the news.
Take care, and Many thanks for your wonderful podcast - I do love it dearly!
-Sarah
