Proof of progress...

I finally finished my sister's sweater!

All that seed stitch took forever, but it's finally done and, thankfully, fits her without any weird gaps or bunching. The pattern is Roam from Knitty, and I really liked the shaping that's hidden in those long chains of slipped stitches that run up the front (and are on the back, too).

Yarn: Knit Picks Elegance, in Ash
Needles: Nickel Plated Options, US 5

Comment by Alison on May 6, 2009 at 11:33am: Yep, I just left it open for my sister - she uses a shawl pin or a brooch to fasten it right under the bust. And you're right, it's funny how much of a difference your yarn choice makes. The final fabric of this cardigan just flows along the body, and it looks great on her.

Although the shaping was interesting enough for me to download the pattern, your sweater makes me want to knit it up ASAP! Great job!
