I ended up getting four skeins of Shimmer in Bayou and two skeins each of Shadow in Snorkel Heather and Spring Green Heather. Here's my swatch:

I held one strand of Bayou with one strand of Snorkel for the first half, then switched to one strand of Bayou with one strand of Spring Green. Using Bayou throughout softened the other two colors and pulled them together nicely. I got gauge (20 stitches/4") using size 6 needles, then washed my swatch in cold water with some Kookaburra and blocked it out on a towel to dry overnight. The fabric softened up quite a bit after washing, and the Shadow kind of puffed up a bit and filled in the gaps in the fabric.

How funny, I just did the same thing with Bayou. I swatched Bayou double stranded with spring green, snorkel, juniper, tidepool, aegean and mermaid. The Shimmer definietly pulls the other colors together - plus Bayou and spring green are colors that normally would not work for me but stranded they're great.

I'm planning a stole (a modification of the Tiger Eye Scarf) and I think I'll use the shadow yarns and maybe the tide pool. In the swatch, the gloss lace yarns are too dominant for what I'm trying to accomplish.

I worked my swatch on 7s and am pleased with the laciness.

I'm very fond of the lace yarns but NEED something that will knit up a little more quickly.

Wish me luck.

Those are two colors I would not have put together, but with the Bayou it looks all pulled together. Great job and thanks for sharing. It starts the creative juices flowing...
