A lot.
The 2 major-est things are that my Gpa had a minor stroke or something akin to it last month, and my dad was laid off at the beginning of this month.
Gma started work, which has thrown a whole new dynamic into our lives..... Mom and Dad've been getting up *really* early to take Gma to work, and I've been staying the nights when she doesn't feel good or is overly tired. I have learned to pack and have every thing in the car in 8 minutes flat. LOL
I've been knitting a lot..... One of my s… Continue

I am a member of a stitch marker group on Ravelry. The group was having a stitch marker swap, which I was like "YES!!!"
The mail date was Feb 1st. Well, um, that was yesterday, and a Sunday. But it was ok - I had a grace period due to the crazy weather. I told mom, but she was adamant that it be at the post office yesterday. Negating my cries of "Mom, that's insane. Seriously, it will never get shipped" and "Mom! it's Sunday!" She reached for my package and started to write a note on a separate… Continue
As always, it has been a week crammed full of the sweet Lord's provision, and another week of making it all so apparent to us who is in charge in this world.
As for knitting - it's going slow and I can't really talk about any of it..... New designs, things I am hoping to publish..... so, yeah, I cannot really speak of such things. :P
So for now it's just a quick "check in" and now I have to go.....
I will try to write more soon.
Forever in His hands,

Remember back in December when I posted about the plumbing problems?
Well in the same post, towards the end of the post, I also posted this:
"Prayer requests:
We need a doublewide trailer. It's a huge prayer, but my God is an awesome God, and capable of delivering a double wide on our property, but if not, I will still praise Him."
Guess what?!? He answered our prayers once again. =) Maybe not exactly how it would have been *ideal*..... But as far as I know, He knows a LOT better than me, and o… Continue
And things have been crazy. I'm gonna skip the boring personal stuff and move on to my normal sections. =)
The knitting:
Lots of knitting going on right now.... Working on Ice Queen by Rosemary Hill right now..... I also finished one of the (original styled -) Saartje's bootees, and it was SO fun! I am going to making some more to give to a lady who runs our local (well, used to be local. I moved) Christian Pregnancy Advocates center. There is such a need for everyone to lend a helping hand.

Since Christmas I have been off and on the computer - more on than off according to my brother....... But I promised myself that while I would get on the computer between Christmas day and the 7th, I was on media vacation and I didn't *have* to respond to anything. Not that I still didn't work.... I'm slightly addicted. LOL
The holidays were nice - I went to my dad's parents house, and my mom's parents came over. LOL My family is strange that way - my gma's have become fairly good friends in th… Continue

I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas!

If I decorate my house perfectly with plaid bows, strands of twinkling lights and shiny balls, but do not show love to my family, I'm just another decorator.
If I slave away in the kitchen baking dozens of Christmas cookies, preparing gourmet meals and arranging a beautifully adorned table at mealtime, but do not show love to my family, I'm just another coo… Continue

Blessings:
We are replacing pipes, so they probably won't break again for a long time!
Plumbing is almost over!
=) I, thankfully, haven't had to do much, but with me busy and dad at work, it left it all on mom and Jaybro. The good thing is that it is almost over, and hopefully it will not interfere with Christmas plans.
On faith:

Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.
This is my motto. For any friendship.... my rules are:

Well mom got home *early* (like as in a few hours after midnight) yesterday morning. Dad, the kidd-o's and I were all so happy to have her and Jaybro back home. :)
About 5 years ago my aunt passed away. She had terminal cancer, and didn't want pressured to have treatment, so she didn't tell anyone until the last 3 months of her life.
Aunt L. was a crafter. Her house put most fabric stores to shame...... She had pile after pile of fabric, books, yarn and other craft supplies. My dad's cousin fou… Continue

Grandma is out of the hospital. She got out this afternoon, but things have been crazy for me so I hadn't updated yet. Sorry everyone..... The MRI showed no signs of a stroke, so we aren't quite sure what happened. They upped her seizure medicine, and she is at home now.....
I am just praisn' Him for His mercy...... Continue

Has been awake all day yesterday, and didn't get to sleep till around 7 this morning. She is back and driving now.... Her MS is flaring up and her feet and legs are numb again.
The MRI was earlier.... she is rushing to get to the hospital before the doctor leaves so she can try to find out what is going on.
This song keeps playing through my head......
The MRI showed no signs of a stroke.... so we aren't sure what is going on. They are up her medication, but other than that they have to wait until they talk to some more people before they get to leave. Continue

Well last night we got a frantic call from my aunt/sister (a year younger than me and more like a sister),Shalimar. She was really scared because Gma had a seizure.... Grandma used to have seizures, but never more than one every year, and the last time she had them up to this year was 20 years ago. She came out of it before the EMTs arrived, and refused to go to the hosipital (she's a nurse... and thinks she is invincible. lol). Less than 10 minutes after they left she had another seizure. They… Continue
The bank promised me $25 for a referral..... I was planning on buying a lot of WotA with it to make gloves for my siblings. I had my order filled out all ready when I found out that I was not going to get the money after all. This was quite frustrating, and slightly irritating, seeing as they had over 3 months to tell me this, and multiple chances to point this out. BUT I am human, and I make mistakes. I really have no place critiquing them for making a mistake.
My mom offered to give me the mon… Continue
It has been a while since I posted last!
I sure have been busy though... It's kinda strange how much has happened since I was posted here last!
I've been working on several new designs! One of which, Methodical Madness, is about to go public! It's a glove design I came up with for my dad. I will be selling it as a Ravelry download, and on my shop, http://camobutterfly.etsy.com
Most of the others are still in progress, and it will be a while before I get them up. But I have another that is prett… Continue

I am currently working on a pattern for what I hope-in-a-few-months-will-be-a-knitting-smash-hit-book-of-the-year. I don't know that it's publicized yet, so I can't say anymore. But who knows, maybe this pattern will make it up on the little thingie (top 5 patterns) on Ravelry! (But… Continue

Leyla ran up to me yesterday, very conspiratorially. "Hey," She whispered. "Adanna. I've gotta a question." She put her hand around my shoulder and looked at me like she had always been my biggest confident. "See, I was wanderin." (Still got that sweet heavy southern accent going on!) "How much are you getting for this order? Oh Adanna, don't look at me that way. I won't tell a single soul. I promise." Sooo.... I told her. *gasp* "Wow. You are one rich woman." and with that, she scampered away t… Continue
