Fun Day on the Cape

Today was family day at the Otis ANG base on the Cape. I was allowed a lot of knitting time in exchange for going! A Nice Weekend

Here are a couple of pictures from this weekend. The first one is the kitchen ceiling, which is now level and plumbed for the ceiling light fixtures. My hubby has been working really hard on this. I think this was probably the toughest part of the job, and he is very type-A about stuff like level-ness! I'm sure it will look spectacular once we get the ceiling up.

With so much going on in my head these days, knitting has kind of taken a back seat, sad to say. I have been concentrating on Sunday School stuff, and am still hemming my 6 pairs of curtains, although I am getting close to the end on that! I am also organizing parent volunteers for my son's class for 3 field trips coming up this month and next. My house is a mess, but I have to get the jobs done or I won't be able to concentrate. The only good thing about being stuck in the house doing something almost mindless is that I get to listen to knitting podcasts while I am doing it. I have hemmed 7 of 12 long sheer panel curtains. I should be working on it right now. So not a lot of knitting going on here this week. Hopefully on Mother's day after teaching Sunday School and going out for lunch, I will get some feet up time!
