Yippee! It is the last day of March! I love April as I know winter will soon be over (it's always long in Massachusetts.) We had a somewhat productive weekend. DH got 3 pieces of wall board up in the kitchen. I helped a little with the shop-vac and by staying out of the way, mostly. Still cleaning up from emptying my cabinets! Between that and the AWANA Grand Prix workshop on Saturday, my hubby was a working machine! I'm tired, so I can't imagine how… Continue

Stocking #1 done

My first Christmas stocking is completed. I am somewhat happy with it, and know the second one will go more smoothly. I am thinking about doing the afterthought heel option instead of the short rows. I'm not sure exactly how it will look since there is no picture of that option. Guess I will have to get out my sock knitting bibles.

I added photos of past projects, although there are some missing, I'll have to keep looking on my computer because I know that my first and third sweaters should be in there somewhere. And I just found out that they are all flowing past like a slide show on my Page. Cool!

So I was working along on my short-row toe last night and almost done, when I come up with extra stitches, so I think I a going to go rip out a row and see if I can fix it. I don't have problems with regular toes,… Continue

The Christmas Stocking

Well, it is coming along. Like I said, this is my first fair isle project, so I shouldn't be too hard on myself, I guess.

We just started a total kitchen renovation this past weekend, so I don't know how much knitting I am going to get to do in the coming months. I guess that's why I started the stockings so early...and the fact that I was itching to try a real fair isle project. Me, I have to be making something meaningful, I hate practicing,… Continue

I have been knitting for 2 years this week. My current projects include:

Fair Isle project with WOTA Cranberry, Swish Jade and Bare. It is the first of 4 hopefully. I just did my first short row heel yesterday and did not like it one bit! But it looks ok. It was a different way than I had… Continue
