My friend,
Elizabeth, spied on me during Sock Summit and kept notes on the colors I enjoy wearing. When she got back home she made me this lovely wet-felt, silk scarf. I have been waiting for it to be cold enough to wear it! Well, please notice the turtleneck I'm wearing as well as the scarf. I am even wearing my lovely…

Last night I had planned to work on the second sleeve of my CLiC sweater. It is simple knitting around and around and around. I am re-reading the first book in a trilogy I enjoyed many years ago. Each book was rather large when I first read them so I love having them on my Kindle. The author is
Sharon Kay… Continue

OICyarn!
Congratulations Sonja! I hope you enjoy your City Tweed HW yarn. Maybe a nice hat?
I am working on my next Knitting Buddy project! As soon as it is finished, I'll share it with you and have another drawing.

Even though I've missed a couple of Tuesdays, I am pleased with the results of setting aside one day a week to share my Classic Lines Progress with you. It usually inspires a burst of knitting on Sunday or Monday night. But, I believe you will see a surprising amount of progress over the next two weeks. Bob is on a long business trip which translates into evenings with audio books as I knit and knit and knit. It may not always be my CLiC sweater…

Sense and Sensibility read by Juliet Stevenson takes Jane Austen to a whole new level. I thought I knew the story - I've read it several times and seen the movies - but I was wrong. I spent hours this weekend knitting and listening to Juliet. Ok, I baked some bread and chocolate chip cookies. Can you tell Bob is on a business trip?
What are those lines of cream colored yarn running up my Ric Rac socks? That's my little trick for…

I fell in love with the Nutmeg hat by Norah Gaughan. I love her designs. The hat is knit at a perfect gauge for
City Tweed Heavy Worsted. I am determined to expand my hat collection and the range of "warm" toned colors in my wardrobe. What could be easier than this quick knit hat in a "new" color for me - Morning Glory. I think it is a nice "warm"…

The winner is Jeanne Fangman!
Jeanne, please send me a note with your address and color selection! I can't wait to hear what you think of this pattern. I think you should knit the first (practice?) one for yourself and then maybe some more for your…

A dear friend visited me over the weekend of the Sock Summit. Elizabeth is undergoing treatments for breast cancer including a long course of chemo therapy. Of course, she lost her hair! When I saw the Angel of Beauty Scarf in Gerard Allt's book…

Ok, I've gotten tired of typing and saying "
Classic Lines Cardigan". I thought about it and came up with this anachronism. I realize that there is a case for being redundant because we will probably call it the CLiC sweater. Since cardigan is a noun, I am going to be saying "sweater sweater" I know - I've completely gone off the deep end but I have a shorter name for my lovely…
