Cowgirl's Hanalei Mitts

I'll start by telling you a little about Cowgirl. She's my tomboy, my outspoken, full of zest, drives everybody crazy teenage daughter. This is the girl who, at age 7, was so determined and enthusiastic about spinning that she learned on a spindle, with Rambouillet that was beginning to felt. Within 3 years she had figured out that spinning wasn't for her, even though she does an excellent job of it, and has moved on to other things.

A 'Nutty'shell: Drink Mix Formulas for Dyeing

Many weeks ago, too many to count, I mentioned some dyeing experiments The Tribe and I had done with drink mixes for a wider variety of colors. Brights are nice, but sometimes we want other colors and I didn't want to use chemical dyes since the children are usually helpers in the process some where along the way.
