I'm making a baby blanket with a bunch of stitch samples in it- I'm choosing them so it will be flat and smooth mostly. My first attempt at the blanket was on too small of needles and with too much st st in it. Any suggestions for other st patterns that lay flat and smooth? So my DSIL is due sometime in January- and I've been working hard on a little sweater set for the baby. Started on a blanket, but it will be frogged and restarted due to technical difficulties... The star of the day is a design by my own DH. The father of the baby to come plays hockey on a team- so hubs decided the baby needed a hockey related toy. I just got back from a looong trip from NE KS all the way to visit my DB and SIL and nephew in NW New Mexico. On the way down- we took the longer miles, better road and angled down and stopped for the night in Liberal KS. This state is so long kitty corner style!
