keeping busy at moms 75th birthday party

susan from the local recycling group dropped off 3 bags of yarn for me to make hats for the troops. and/or blankets for animal shelter.

knit coat sweater

one piece and uses the woolease thick and quick yarn. my friend in st. louis actually knit it. we'd get on the phone daily for 1/2-2 hours and go row by row so we'd both be on the same row going in the same direction. it was the only way she could get this done as she got so confused at the neck, when you had to bind off stitches but in another section add stitches. whew it's done. short for me but versatile for the fall. when i got the coat i had to… Continue

wide stripe cardigan

cardigan is done, buttons sewn on even.

this sweater was so easy to make and assemble i can't wait til i find another color i really like to make another one.

it's made using pound of love baby/sport yarn with size 3 needles. the bamboo needles broke while i had 464 stitches on the needle, doing the trim and buttonholes.

when i assembled it i paid very close attention to what i was doing as you will not see a turquoise color… Continue

slleves are shown with a landline in tem, from very start as i want to make a seeed stitch border but not sure if i want just 4 rows or 6, i'll decide that after i assemble and make the sweater. lot easier to pick up the sts from a landline
