Recently, we embarked on a family vacation to Mexico. Towards the end of the flight, I noticed another person across the isle knitting. Hallelujah! In an instant I had a new friend. To some it is a dieing art form, to others it is reminiscent of their Grandmothers; to me it is what my hands were created to do. It is a peaceful solitary art, or the reason for a social gathering. It is a connection to my heritage, to all the women before me lovingly caring for their families. It is an expression of my creativity and demonstration of the love I have for someone.
