It's been a while...

I think the last time I posted, I was just announcing my third pregnancy (I found out around 4 wks), and I am now less than a week from my second trimester. So it's been a while! :) But I'm back now. My Most Recent Finished Project

I made the Knitted Kitty (pattern on ravelry)--and I love how it turned out! :) (Got the eyes & nose from Hobby Lobby.)

Interpretation, please?

Cast on 16 sts. K 1st row. In the 2nd row, K 10 sts and turn (leaving 6 sts "unknitted"). 3rd row K (this row is shorter now). Repeat these 3 rows 3 times.

The "Mousies" and the Blanket :)

I finally have pictures of the girls with the mouse stuffed animals I made them for Mother's Day! I got the design from lion brand's website--it's free, and you can find it by doing a search for "super fun critters." I also have pictures of the baby blanket I've started! Translation?

Anyone know how to translate a crochet pattern to a knitting pattern? I learned how to crochet a little over four years ago, but I haven't done it in probably about three. The Lion Design catalog has a bunch of cute stuffed animals on its cover--ones that I'd like to make--but they are mostly crochet patterns. Sorry I haven't been on lately--my three year old was sick with a stomach virus all last week, and I had to take her to the ER on Saturday. She's pretty much back to normal now--just super skinny from puking for four days--but I just haven't had time to get on here yet. I can't wait to catch up with every one though!

I did it!

I made something other than a blanket or scarf--and I learned new things along the way. I learned how to pick up and knit, knit in the round, and I learned how to make an I-cord. :) Ready for a picture? Here it is:

Patterns, Anyone?

I want to make a couple cute little bags for my girls. They don't have to be very big--but it would be nice for them to be big enough for them to carry in place of the diaper bag--as they are getting bigger now, and they think it's cool to help out. I'm thinking something that's big enough for a sippie cup sized water bottle, a small snack, a couple pair of panties (for just in case), and maybe one spare shirt and pair of shorts. Getting There

It's been a week since I got my braces (this afternoon, anyway), and I'm finally starting to feel back to normal...painwise, anyway. :) I think it will take me a little while to get used to having all this in my mouth. :)

Slowly But Surely

I got several more rows done on my blanket last night. It's been tough the last few days because I haven't felt like doing anything--but I have two little girls to take care of, so there's no choice! My mouth is finally starting to feel better though, so hopefully most of the pain is behind me. I'm hoping the first strip of my blanket will be done by the end of next week, but we'll see. Metal Mouth, Nimble Fingers

I'm getting more nervous by the minute--I have an appointment at 2 to get braces put on! I'm excited because they will fix all the problems in my mouth--and who doesn't want straight teeth? But I am nervous too. I've been told that my mouth will be sore anything from a couple days to a couple weeks! Sweet Relief...

Well, my company is finally gone. The visit went relatively well, and since we watched movies or episodes of Smallville (second season) at night after the girls were in bed, I got a lot of knitting done. Not as much as I would have done if they were not here, but better than I was expecting.

Not enough time to knit...

Nap time is almost here, and I am looking forward to it. The girls have been really good today, but I will be watching Monday night's episode of Heroes, and knitting more on my blanket. I'm more excited about the knitting than watching the show for once--it's been a bit disappointing recently. I can't wait to get done with my blanket. My Blanket

I recently started my third blanket--the first I made for my husband, the second for my sister, and now I'm making one for me. :) I'm using a double seed stitch (Row 1-2: *k2, p2, rep from *; Row 3-4: *p2, k2, rep from *).
