Long time no chat. Sorry about that. Well, I got a new job after about 24 yrs with my old company. Not only that, but I am in the process of relocating to Northwestern Wisconsin! I'm currently staying with my sister until I can find a place to rent that allows cats. Then I can put my townhouse in IL up for sale/rent. Whew...
I am now the new PC Support Tech for the Chippewa Valley Hospital in Durand, WI. The only one but it is a small hospital. My mom's…Continue
I completed two projects before heading on my holiday vacation trip.

I just wanted to post that I am still here and doing well. Sorry I have been "very" quiet but work has been very busy lately. I have a new boss and some new responsibilities to learn.
I just wanted to let everyone know I'm still alive and still knitting/crocheting/spinning. :)
I'm working on a new sweater design - if I can figure out how to write up the final part of it...
Just wanted to let you know my new pattern is now available on Knit Picks site! WooHoo!
The pattern is called: Ada Lovelace Mitts and can be found here. I hope you like them.
Yesterday I met up with a fellow Knit Picks Community friend, Karen Pike, at the Midwest Fiber and Folk Art Fair. It was great to finally meet in person. There were so many vendor booths with many different art forms filled with interesting items. There were several that had live bunnies. One even had some baby ones and I got to hold one. They are so cute and cuddly.
We saw many different kinds of spindles including this large one. (I thought of Cheryl…Continue
What I have been working on:
Back in October I created a ‘meet-up’ at work for others who knit or crochet. There were 8 of us that showed up. We meet approx every other week in the cafeteria at work on Wednesday nights.
In February the Knit Picks Community had a Virtual Spin-In. This is what I spun during that weekend: Polworth wool in the Petrified colorway by CloudLover. I got 138 yards in a 2-ply at a Worsted…Continue

This past weekend I attended the Sheep in the City Getaway 2011!
Friday: I took the Beginner’s Drop Spindle class which was taught by a wonderful instructor named: Lindsay O’Neill. She was great! I bought some BFL from a vendor and an Ashford spindle in the class and made a cute little skein. She walked us through making a single. Next we took it off the spindle using an empty toilet paper roll to make a center pull ball. Then we plied it using the spindle which…Continue

It has again, been a while since my last posting. I have been really busy…
I found a house, made an offer which was accepted. Closed on Dec 15th and moved out on Dec 27th. I finally felt I had the place unpacked enough to have a House Warming Party last weekend. Woot! My friend Tony took a bunch of pictures at the party and put them up on FaceBook. If you are on FB you can see a link from my profile page to see. I’ll…Continue
Ahhh, finally some time or myself to unwind a bit and actually write a blog.
I have been very busy lately with work on this one “pain in the bootie” application release. Needs to be in production by Oct 15th and I’m hoping we make it.
I have been trying to knit every chance I get (like during conference calls when at home at night). I did call and take the time for a Spinning lesson/class with a lady I found about an hour from me last Saturday morning. She owns the…Continue
