You may remember from last week that I had designed a simple doll dress (Everyday Play) using self-striping yarn.
The design now has a jacket to go with it. You can find it here.
Dolly’s version is a little… Continue

I’ve published a pattern on Ravelry, the first I’ve actually uploaded myself.
It’s for a doll, hence the “little.” Here’s the back:…

I couldn't keep from casting on the "Echo Flower Shawl." Continue
I thought it might actually be useful this summer. I'm using Bare 100% Merino Lace Weight yarn from Knit Picks, and putting beads in where the…

I have been looking everywhere online to find a knitting pattern for a really nice, button up, Cardigan sweater with a shawl collar for men to make for myself. I want to find one that has a variety of stitch patterns and cabling, a lot like what you might find in Ireland. I don't like pull over sweaters at all, as I tend to get too hot in them. I want this sweater to act as a light jacket in place of a bulky over coat. I am just about ready to pull my hair out trying to find such a… Continue

I just joined the Mile High Club!!! Well, for knitters. I worked on this new scarf from a new pattern I created while flying to Chicago.
Are you a member of the Mile High Club (for knitters)? What have you worked on while in flight?
Please post photos here of your work.…

This is the first knit pattern of my own devising, I call it Springtime Scarf... My wife Megan says it looks more like tire tracks. I guess in a way it does. Well, here's the pattern, give it a go and see what you think. Seeing as I'm kind of new at all of this I tried to keep it as simple as possible. I hope you like it.
Cast on 30 St (15 St increments)
Row 1: k Repeat to end of row.
Row 2: *(k1, k2tog, k3, yo-k1, k1, yo-k1, k3,…

Yeah. I know. It's JUNE already. :-)
So... what have I been doing... Mostly doing battle against my primary nemesis, Fibromyalgia. Guess which one of us has been winning? Also had a bout with some kidney stones a few months back. Went to the ER, certain it was appendicitis cuz I've had kidney stones before but it was never anything like that! Otherwise, mostly just annoying aches, pains, fatigue, perhaps a little depression... and lots of migraines.… Continue

I will be sending out a small batch of scarves to a contact at the Pine Ridge Reservation for the Elders. This winter has been so cold. The elders have no heat and are needing blankets and winter wear to keep warm.
I found this crochet pattern for the face mask. Helmet Liner as it is called. Very easy to do.

I was "doodle knitting" a while back and made these fingerless mits. I liked how they turned out so I wrote up a pattern for it. Would anyone be interested in "testing" out my pattern? Also, I used Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick & Quick yarn, could someone suggest a KP yarn to substitute for it?
I have the pattern here: Shozbot Patterns
If you have Ravelry, I have… Continue

My boss at work is a Louisiana fan...purple and gold. :) I've whipped out these coasters:
Easiest Coasters Ever done in plain gold and purple. This is Rachel Choi's pattern found:
I also put together some of these Scrubbie Dots with the same acrylic yarn and made them into coasters.
This is a free ravelry.com download… Continue

For my birthday this year, my daughter and granddaughter decided to give me yarn. Of course, being "newbie" knitters, they went to a big-box store and bought what looked expensive (to them). It was Lyon Brand Nature's Choice Organic Cotton (my daughter is also very into organic anything). Unfortunately, I tend toward lace, fingering and sport weight yarns and projects. I just didn't know what to knit with it, and the quantity did not fit anything I came up with. That is, until I remembered my… Continue

Does anyone know of where I can find a Shaun the Sheep mobile pattern? I have tried e-bay and no luck. My DD is having her first child and she loves sheep. I would love to make that for my first GC. Any help you can give would be much appreciated.
P.S. I would even be happy to buy someone's used pattern if they don't need it anymore!

I was searching for a new sock pattern when I came across Berroco knits page. They have a sock pattern called "Stroll"! Isn't that a funny coincidence?!!
