I only have about two months before Christmas, and I am trying like MAD to get all of the gifts knitted in time. My spinning has really cut into my time, but I love spinning so much, that I just have to do what I can do.
I also took nearly an entire day to meet one of my good online KP friends - but that was well worth the time. Yes, Carol, I am talking about you!
I have finished two projects during the past two days. One is a scarf that I imagined using Palette... Salsa Heather and Golden Hea…

I've been on a Christmas kick lately. I Made the Falling Snow Stocking, found on Ravelry, with Wool of the Andes Bulky in Wine and Bare. I'm pretty proud of my 2nd "Color Work" item (if 2 color items don't count, I'm sorry for the use of the phrase).

I also got the Tidings of Joy kit and a few…

Ok, I finished the FIRST alpaca sock... I cast on for the second one the same day, and have finished the ribbing and a few inches of the leg, but the little needles were killing me.
I had cast on for a scarf using double stranded Palette in Golden Heather and Salsa Heather... two very pretty colors... but the pattern was just not working... I have frogged twice... and changed patterns another time, and I think I have a scarf that will have some leaves in pretty fall reds and golden tones... thi…

Every time I finish a project, I just have to cast on a new one... usually within a day... I will cast on, knit a while, then go back to whatever was already on my needles. Anyway, this week I saw the lovely Noble Cowl knit by Knit4Many, and fell in love with the pattern. I had planned a purple scarf for a good friend as a Christmas present, and I had 3 balls of Andean Silk (Imperial) just waiting in the wings. Everytime I looked in that stash drawer those purple balls nearly jumped out of the d…

There has been some buzz around about the lovely new bright blue Palette:) So I thought I'd give y'all a closer look.

The color is Cyan, and let me tell you - it really, really is Cyan! If you're a fan of blue printer ink, you are going to love this one. Personally, I think it's an awesome 'pop' col…

A little while back, Kelley destashed a LOT of yarn. I saw these discs of
Palette

just waiting to be used in some lovely colorwork project. While not really my colors, they seemed to go together well. And with all the gr…

Have you seen all the new colors in our
Palette line? I’ve known these colors were coming, so I’ve been holding off on starting my first real Fair Isle project until they were in stock – and now they are! The new heathers especially are so lovely; I enjoy examining each one closely to see the individual colors that were blended together to create the subtle richness of the heather color. I really want to do the Autumn Rose…

Since we just launched the brand new colors of
Palette, one of my favorite yarns, I’ve been anxious to use it, but I don’t exactly want to make a big stranded sweater in the middle of summer. The solution: colorful mittens & gloves.
Robin Melanson’s
Knitting New Mittens & Gloves has quite a few great colorwork designs…

Our fall collection is on its way, so expect to see lots of sneak peeks here the next couple of weeks! I thought I would kick off the fall yarn love fest with a photo of new
Palette colors. Sure, the weather is just heating up, so wool colorwork is not on the top of most of our lists, but I find it's best to plan early for colorwork projects.…

My last order was waiting for me when I got home last night - 4 balls of
Palette in Sunlight, 4 in Mist, one hank of
Gossamer in Trail and one in Sweet Peas. The first clue for the Mystic Light Shawl KAL came out yesterday too so I've decided to knit my shawl in the Sunlight. I swatched on palette in Peach and it looked lovely…
