My purple lace socks!

I have a few physical challenges that sometimes limit my knitting, crocheting and polymer clay work.  I have MS and RA; and both are centered on my right side.  I am right handed so you can see that I have a little bit of a challenge.  However, I am not complaining by a long shot.  When I was diagnosed with MS as a child there were no medicines and the medical community treated it much the same way as they did anything they did not understand.  They recommended that families put their loved…

I am knitting a Potatoe Chip Scarf get away from some of my WIP...that is a bit boring and taxing.

What next? Socks!

I have almost finished the cardigan, sewing it up and then knitting the neck, then i'm done. Which is great because I'm sick of hot pink for the moment. I have worked two circulars on sleeves and have had not troubles. However I did find it a bit awkward collecting the gussets until I decided to move all the stitches so they were more evenly distributed.

Well I am back on target progressing nicely. I expect that I… Continue

Sweater Notes

Swatching is so very important. It will make the difference as to whether your sweater will fit or not. Knit that swatch. Be sure you get gauge. I would rather have the sweater fit instead of finding someone to fit the sweater. Did I mention to swatch?

Beginners and some experienced knitters will ask “Why swatch?” The answer is simple. Your chosen yarn may not be appropriate to the pattern. The tension of the knitter may be too loose resulting in a garment that is too big. Or the… Continue
