High Fiber—Love and Generosity

Wow! What a week! I always have to start with a photo, so here's Kay's rug:

She based this on a photo she took while on a cruise with her late husband. He helped her with suggestions and was a major contributor to keeping her interested in the project. It has been languishing since he passed away, but…

High Fiber—Amazing!

Vintage Stitchers met on Thursday at Barbara's. She was trying to get some advice about her new batik quilt.

The pattern is a "block of the month" (BOM) from Kreative Threads. The pattern name is “Bits and…

High Fiber—Small, Beautiful World!

On Wednesday, Karan and I went to Joanie's to help her with her paper-pieced pine-tree blocks.

She has such an aesthetically pleasing work space! Here's what it looked like when we arrived:…

High Fiber—Progress on All Fronts

I've been spinning some Knit Picks Full Circle Spinning Roving in various colors. Currently, I have "Pigeon" on the wheel. Here are all the colors together:

All that's missing from the photo is the fiber currently on the wheel (although you can see some of the pale-gray "Pigeon" already spun in the…

High Fiber--Finishing Fiber Projects

Our Common Threads group had a small attendance last week.

However, Lynda and I showed up at Karan's house, Lynda sporting her crocheted vest made from the yarn… Continue

High Fiber--Goodbye to Sarak, Hello More Fiber Fun!

Sarak and I visited the Utah Olympic Park in Park City this week.

It was the venue for bobsled, luge, skeleton (visible behind us) and ski-jumping events during the 2002 Winter Olympics. Here are the two big ski jumps:

After viewing the runs and jumps there, we moved on to the Post Office for a tearful goodbye. (For more about Sarak and The Knit Wits Podcast, see previous…

Capra Timber Needed for Charity Project!

Knitters: Do you have some Capra Timber you don't need? Angelkarhu needs some to finish up the fingerless mitts she is working on for dialysis patients.

She says, "I am working on some mitts for charity and I ran out of yarn. I just need a little bit of Capra in the Timber colorway. I just need enough to do 5 rows on hand of mitt and 5 rows of thumb plus a cast off. If anyone has extra or partial balls I will pay you. --Angelkarhu"
