I am doing some power knitting today trying to finish up some quick gifts for the members of my small group.  I am making small felted (fulled) bowls and using odds and ends of wool stash and my size 11 circular needles.  I stumbled upon a method that I had never used before in using Magic Loop where you use only one loop.  You start with a big loop on your right hand side and just knit around and around until you get to your marker or the last stitch on your left needle.  It works if you…

Thank you for all your great suggestions. I have downloaded the instructions for both the Magic Loop and two circular needles. Now I would like to know whether there are any hat patterns, either for sale or as "freebies," for either Magic Loop and, or two circular needles that I can buy and, or download. I would also like to have the instructions for converting existing patterns done on double-pointed needles either as a download or to purchase.

I purchased some yarn the other day and wanted to knit socks with it. OK, it's worsted weight... not your typical sock yarn, but it is BEAUTIFUL. I've searched for days for an appropriate pattern or some guidance for the toe up socks - I really hate having to knit a second sock, and I love socks, so I need this methodology.

It was a beautiful day in Oklahoma so I decided to try my first attempt at dyeing outside rather than in the garage. My sock blanks went in the bath at 7:30 a.m. Then I began the task of organizing all the items necessary for this process. That took a while! I felt like the mad chemist mixing dyes.
