Harmony needles came!

I was out of town for most of the day, and when I returned, the Harmony needle set was waiting for me!

The needle tips are gorgeous, and I wasted no time in assembling a 32" cable to mount my current project on.

I am a bit disappointed, though, in that there are no connectors to join two or more cables, like the ones in the Denise needle set. You have to order longer cables if you want to be able to knit larger projects.

I'm hoping that there is enough room on the… Continue

I Love Knitting for my Grandchildren because...

Wednesday my daughter called to chat a while... in the course of the conversation she told me that all of the children were discussing what grandma was going to knit for them next. The youngest told her that she couldn't wait to have a bunch of knitted stuff, and she would wear it all at the same time, even if the colors didn't match.

I finished the toe up socks for the daughter in law yesterday... washing and blocking... today we have to be in their town anyway, so I plan on… Continue

My first Appalachian Ohio Fiber Guild Meeting

Today I attended my first meeting of the Appalachian Ohio Fiber Guild, located in the general Gallia County area. We meet monthly at the local French Colony Art Museum. Choosing Needles

I am trying to decide between the KnitPicks Options Needles and the Denise Knitting Needle System. (what a mouthful) I have heard good things about both of them and bad things about both. I am leaning towards the Options needles but I am unsure about getting them because I don't have that much money. I don't have enough to buy a couple of tips and a cable to test the Options needles out. My mom is getting Denise and I am going to try those.

If anybody here has tried both Denise and… Continue
