High Fiber—Family Visits, Part Two
The Bees' Knees cardigan fit just the way I wanted: a little big, so she can wear it for a long time. The socks fit about the same way:

Last week I left you with the pic of my unfinished potato chip – BSJ… it’s an odd looking object at this stage,
But, once finished, turns into an adorable Baby Surprise Jacket.

New store name!!!
Hi everyone!! I decided to change the name of my etsy store. It's going to be called Klose Knit Boutique now. I like that name much more. And in 7 years when my husband finally retires from the military, we plan on opening up a knit/yarn/spin store with that name so I might as well go ahead and fix it while I can.
I purchased a lovely new photography kit so I can take professional looking photos. So my current photos that are in the boutique rigtht now will be changed very…

SAFF 2011
I attended SAFF 2011 on Sunday, and bought waaaaay too much stuff! (Well, not an awful lot of stuff, but an awful lot of money!) I bought some colored locks, a mohair fleece, a lamb's first shearing, a pound of brown merino roving and an ounce of coppery gold angelina to mix with the merino, and 3 more bobbins for my Ashford Traditional.
This is just a small section of the Sales Area in the upper barn.…

High Fiber—Family Visits, Part One

The knitting and the audiobooks make the time go by fast.
We arrived in Peru, IN, Thursday afternoon and have been having a nice visit with DS1 and his DW.

DS had the day off on Friday, so we took the pups (four, including ours and their Westies, Koko and Odie) to the dog park in…

DISCLAIMER: First I want to preface this blog with the following statement: Knit Picks yarns are some of the finest yarns available anywhere for my knitting. I have used a wide assortment of their products, and have NEVER been disappointed. If I were to list my favorite KP yarns, the list would be so lengthy, that some would think I was listing ALL of KP yarns… seriously! When I think of my favorite KP yarns, I would start with this list: Palette, Swish (all weights),…

High Fiber—Quilting Bees?
We had Vintage Stitchers this week. I guess you could call the people in our group quilting bees, because Utah is The Beehive State.
Julie finished the quilting on Carol's Crazy Chickens:

Barbara had two new quilts to give to Julie. This one, which is similar in pattern to the Pandora's Box quilt I made from DGD1, from…

First, let me apologize… I have not blogged in literally months… this is definitely NOT like me… I have stayed busy knitting and spinning, but have just not organized my thoughts into this format.
When I left you, last, I was in the middle of Tour de Fleece… I had spun up most of the fibers as I had planned, but was not nearly finished. By the end of that 23 day marathon, I had spun up 1904 yards of yarn, and nearly 3 lbs. of fiber. This is about what I did last…

High Fiber--Keeping Warm
We had knitting last week at Rob's lovely home:
Here are Lynda and Georgette, sharing knitting advice and tips. The knitting group is great. Rob has a neat new camera, which he used to take this photo.
This week we had Common Threads, in spite of the early arrival of snow:

Monkeying Around
I finally got around to making the friend Marvin the Monkey has been asking for. Meet Matilda:
Marvin is thrilled--he's in love! And I'm in love with this yarn, Cascade's "Fixation." It's a sock yarn, 98.3% cotton and 1.7% elastic. It feels like cotton, but stretches like wool. I'm now about…
