They had all kinds of wool, roving, handspun yarn from their sheep, soy silk.cashmere, camel wool . U name it they had it. All kinds of spinning wheels & spindles. Yes I bought two kinds of sock yarn. We have been pretty busy here with 2 new babies and a wedding in 2 weeks. Right now I started to knit a cover for my scooter in the Simply Cotton. In the planning stage are 3 dresses + dress socks for Kathrine 20 mts, Abigail 2 1/2 and Erin 3 months, but I am knitting it for 6 months. Basically the same basic pattern but each with a different skirt.
The little boys, David 3 1/2 and Matthew ( 2 months) are getting a hoodie, socks and mittens.
The older boys, Xander 13 and Cody 14 hat, mittens and scarf. And our oldest granddaughter Erica 12 has not yet decided. Perhaps a shrug or legwarmers...in cashmere. The kid has good taste!
By christmas it should all be done. Of course the Rv blanket and the scooter cover probably will go on the back burner, as usual.
Once the kids go back to school next week I hope to have a bit more time to devote to Knit Picks Community. I think I posted 2 of the Summer dresses sofar. Got to get back to work cooking party fare. We have the Labor Day party on Sunday and besides our clan (23) we expect another 40 or so.
Can I share a way to make $100 daily using KnitPicks? It's free and only takes 10 minutes to set up! You can easily make money today on KnitPicks and all you need is an email address (NO WEBSITE NEEDED)

HEY IT'S FREE So if you don't make at least $100 in your first day ...It cost you nothing!
THE YOUTUBE VIDEO PROOFIt's been a long time! Have done a lot of winter knitting: socks, hats, sjaals, mittens & sweaters for the grandkids. Alas, I forgot to take pix.
Finally started a wrap for myself,
I choose to use up my stash of Alpaca Cloud in Horizon ( KP has discontinued this wonderful color!) Starting in the center I picked an old Swan Wing pattern. I want to get it done for our youngest daughter wedding this September. I have a Navy gown and the wrap will complement it nicely. This of course will be interrupted by knitting baby blankets! Two more of the girls are expecting babies! Krissi(daughter in law) around May 28 and Niqui(daughter) by June 28! Since Niqui's will be a boy that blanket is started in 100% Cashmere from Hunt Valley Cashmere. That is in Estonian Lullaby Lace. Krissi has not yet decided on color( deciding between a pale pale celadon green or Natural) nor pattern....
That \'s it for now. Have fun at your spinning. did you post any more pix? I have not been on KP site for a while...and Ravelry is too confusing.
Bye and Happy Knitting

Sorry to hear about your shoulder replacement! does it involve a long hospital stay? And rehab? Thank goodness for swimming pools! I do all my rehab and excercises in the pool. It feels good and I feel light as a feather! The only thing is, coming out I feel like i weigh a TON! LOL.
I "scribble" my patterns down in my own handwriting. Most of them as i go along. I am not much of a structured knitter. After the 4th, when it will be quiet for a few weeks ( i hope) i write some out. Just let me know which ones.
Keep up your spirits!

Sorry to hear you were sick on your travels. I hope you are much better now. My brother arrived from Belgium, also with a nasty cold! We had our June Birthday Bash on Father's Day. Michael, our youngest AND gourmet chef, prepared a scrumptious brunch of Belgian Waffles, with all possible additions + eggs, bacon and sausages. Then later on the day, by 8pm, our other sons, Christopher and Rob, cooked BBQ chicken, bratsburgers and hotdogs. John and I had a ball with the grandkids. We were totally tuckered out when the last ones left! All in all a very good day! And this Saturday we will repeat this with a BBQ at Rob and Krissi's house with a lot more people. From his backyard we have a grand view for the Fireworks.
As "tradition" prescribes on the 4th our gang and then some will gather at our house to swim and BBQ. That night we all pile in the motor home to go watch the fireworks at the military base where Rob works! After this round of parties John and I NEED a break.
I have finished Davids Summer Sweater and am almost done with Abigails Bolero. Last night I started a Sleeveless dress for Katie.
Did you see the "new" sock yarn on Knit Picks? Gorgeous! I will be doing a lot of knitting, or at least, adding to my already substantial "stash"!
Let me know how you are doing? Okay?

Have a fun knit day!
