I admire you for using those itty bitty needles......

Gee, now I can't find your message you wrote to me. HAHA if we keep writing back and forth maybe we will get the hang of this?
What did you ask? What size yarn would fit to a size 5 needle? I would think a fingering/sport weight should work. If you go to Knit Picks they have the yarns sorted by weight.
Or did you ask what needle size I use with their yarns? I use 0 on the bottom of my foot, 1 on the top and 2 on the ankle. When I'm making knee highs,,, 3-4 on the calf.... depending.
I am self taught and learned through DVD's as I just couldn't figure it all out from books. I HIGHLY recommend Elizabeth Zimmerman and Lucy Neatby. It's through their DVD's that I learned the basic's. ENJOY! OH and I highly recommend the Options and the Harmony interchangable needles. When they break,,, KP is right there to replace them.
I just got your message about the yardage of the blanks. If you use a size 5 needle you will have a rather loose weave but I don't see why you can't make socks from the blank. You do realize that they come to you bare and you need to dye them? The blanks are 462 yards of yarn, more then enough for a ladies size 7-9 at 10" long for the leg. It's a good amount of yarn for socks.
I didn't know how to reply to your post without sending it out to the entire group so I hunted you down. I'm really trying hard to get the hang of this place, it's all so hard for me but I'm still plugging away.
