Yes, I'm a quilter. I shuffle back and forth between quilting and knitting, but the attention to knitting I've gotten from this website and Kelley's podcasts have really inspired me to knit. I'm happy that Connecting Threads has an equivalent to the knitting community. Now if they would have a podcast...
I piece by machine, mostly, and I love applique. I usually quilt by hand, unless the project is a table cover that will get lots of use or for one of the dogs.
We have goldens next door, and there are a lot of them in Park City. Nice dogs. My connection with poodles started with a litter of standards on Cape Cod in 1955, and that has been my breed ever since. I love all dogs, but I feel a real connection with poodles. I guess that's why we have different breeds.
Woodworking? Have you thought about making drop spindles? They sell for a lot of money for not much wood. People like their drop spindles to be a thing of beauty, with carving, etc. Happy knitting, quilting and wood carving! --Peggy
Hey, Sunshine! Welcome to the Speed-knitting KAL! It should be fun! I noticed you're in South Jordan. I live in Park City, but I take my pups to Amor Animal Clinic in South Jordan, because our vet moved there. I try to stop by Three Wishes while I'm down there, especially as I've taken up spinning. Happy knitting! --Peggy
