- I knit, sew, crochet & bead. I love to sing and belong to a community choir that puts on concerts twice a year. I have two sons, one still at home and the other far, far away in Winnipeg. My husband is out of the country a lot consulting for a British company. At the moment, he is in Kabul, Afghanistan. For the past 4 years I have made some socks for the peopIe of that country and stuff them into any small space in my husband's suitcase each time he comes home. Now I have even more time to work on my crafts as I formerly retired last April. I would like to try lace knitting next but I'm still making lots of socks, mitts and hats.
