I have been knitting and crocheting for several years. I learned both in a home ec class in high school and loved crafting out of yarn. I put it down pretty much all of the rest of my high school years and didn't pick it up again until 3 years ago, when I was to become a grandma! So I consider myself a advanced beginner. Alot has changed, but I still love crafting with yarn. I can't seem to stop buying and starting projects and even though I do finish some, I have many more in the wings waiting for me to pick up the sticks! I also love to touch, feel and buy yarn. I have one husband, one grown son, 2 grandchildren, a Shih Tzu named Bruno, and a full time job in the medical industry. I also have an addiction to rubber stamping. I basically make the greeting cards that I send to friends and family.
What's your Ravelry ID (if you have one)? (www.ravelry.com)
My name is Debbie Forrester and I live pretty near to you in Villa Park. The reason I am contacting you is to let you know about a small knitting group that is meeting in the Yorktown Caribou Coffee shop. We will be getting together this Weds. June 10th at 5:30 pm. We just started up a few weeks ago and have 3 active people and 1 that meets when life allows her to. We are asking anyone interested in meeting with us to come on by for a knit and chat. We are more "mature" ladies with grown kids and grandkids, who also work, just wanting to make some new friends who like to knit. If you have any questions, you can contact me on my personal email at firstname.lastname@example.org or call me at 630-991-1896. Hope you might find some time to join us. Thanks for your time.
You left a note on my wall for Kelly about the sipalu bag, thought you might like to know you posted to wrong person, but Hi back at you and I made one also and love the pattern, it's the first thing that complicated I have made and managed to muddle through.
