Just got back into knitting last year when I transferred to UCSC. My favorite projects are socks and learning new techniques when I'm not hitting my Biochemistry books. Knitting is the perfect escape from the crazy reactions and equations crowding my in head.

I may be the happiest (and fairly the laziest) knitter of all time. Don't get me wrong, I love my dp's. They are like quills to our nation's forefathers but I have to say that in buying a 40'in cable & my new MLoop booklet, I find myself completely in love again with sock knitting, especially since I had never tried to knit Toe-up socks ( again a new favorite technique!!!).

Procrastination... ah yes,,, the word that every student dreads like a parent's unexpected visit or the mysterious last minute pop-quiz; But to me this word bring only one thing... my knitting escape.

It's February 2nd and I find myself wearing a lot less layers of clothes this year than I did last. Mid-Winter and it's 71 degrees out, whats going on????
