I am 70 years old. I have been knitting for over 40 years and can also crochet and tat. I used to teach Victorian ribbon work before I became disabled and
I do beading - jewelry and French beaded flowers.
A lot of my work in all these areas are my own designs.
Hi Judith! I wanted to let you know I was thinking of you the other day. We went down to Newark on Monday with our oldest, and when we drove by the New Albany sign - thoughts of you came flooding into my mind. It was a gorgeous day, sunny, warm (for Jan. - lol) and nosnow! What a beautiful area.
I hope all is well with you, and that you are enjoying your fiber arts!
Hi Judith, Your bead work is great and I would love to learn the ribbon work. I bought some silk ribbons all I have tried with them is to embroider. Thanks for the compliment on my beadwork. Right now I am making a scarf for my son he wants a very long one. He saw the fourth Doctor on Doctor Who and asked me to make one in blacks, greys and white.
Judith, my computer is running okay today but I am keeping a close eye on it. I think Peggy's reason for getting an iPad was a compromise she made for her computer situation. Her laptop appears to be on its last leg and she couldn't afford a Mac. Her iPod is an iPod classic that her son, or maybe all of her children, gave for Christmas or birthday a few years ago. I too have a weakness for gadgets but I will just have to be jealous of her iPad. The iPod Touch I have is perfect for what I need. Very small and compact. Slips into my knitting bag or pocket easily. As far as computers go, my PC laptop will have to do for now. There maybe some extra money soon, but I will have to wait and see. Though I must say the next will be a Mac. Now that the Mac version of Word is so compatible, there is no reason to stick with a PC and have constant crashes.
