Whenever I meet a knitter, I ask them if they are familiar with Knit Picks. It is my absolute fave because it allows everyone to use high quality, downright luxurious yarns no matter what their budget. I have a girlfriend at work that is a knitter and the whole place knows when the new Knit Picks catalog comes in the mail, because we hop up and down, squealing in the corridor when it does!

Frigid Fibers
Best tip I've had in a long time via Stephanie Pearl McPhee's Daily Calender (I keep at work so I can have something knitterly in my boring cube). When you have to rip stitches back in mohair, put your project in the freezer for a bit. My family thought I had finally become so frustrated I lost my mind, but it works! What a difference. The fibers let lose so much easier. Better to try putting it in the freezer than hurl it in the trash (which I was close to doing!)
