I have been knitting off and on before the holidays, but now the holidays are through, and I am going to knit again. I made about 8 pairs of mittens, 2 scarves, and begun knitting a skirt.
Lots going on ....but I have lots of ideas for things to knit. I hope that you had happy holidays, and for those of you who had sadness during the holidays, I pray that you can have a New Year that joins all of us in P E A C E.

I posted some of the photos of the things I have knitted. This does not show all the things I have knitted.

I have been knitting. I am about done with a sleeveless top I have made mom in purple cotton yarn. It looks nice. I have the shoulder seams, and knitting or crocheting around the neckline and armhole to do yet. I want her to try on the sweater before I do that, so I can make minor adjustments.
Next, I am going to start on felted mittens. (I have cotton yarn for myself and will begin on a project of that yarn soon. ) I also have 2 pairs of socks I am knitting. I really like the sock blanks and would like to try that sometime.
Bye for now. It's too hot here and I have lots to do, I think I'll just read for today.

Yes, I've read some of mill on the floss GE is quite a character herself.
Well, I haven't been on here for awhile. I've been busy. Finished my pink sweater, and mom's sweater. Quite a deal to get these on the finish line. I am now going to start on mittens for my sister-in-law. I know she will really like these, this is the same pair I made for mom last fall. (Mom had a good mother's day, her son came over to see her that week.) It's still chilly here. We have some sporting events to go to this coming weekend. I need to do my part and take care of the family members who are not going.
I may take my knitting with me. But it will not be easy to knit all the time. I am working on the purple top for mom. I have it finished up to about the arm pit. (Sounds gross....I know.)
I am going to start another sweater for myself soon. It will be a pullover from the top down in ivory. I want to knit lots more.

Best wishes to you.

That's cool that you are reading Mill on the Floss. Last year, after reading a biography of GE, I decided to start reading her novels. FIrst I read Mill on the Floss, then Silas Marner, and now I am about a third of the way through Middlemarch. I have enjoyed them very much and especially the connections to her life. I loved reading her biography and couldn't put it down. I may go back and read it again. I think my favorite of her novels so far is Silas Marner--I like how that story progressed, and some of the imagery developed in it.

Hi there! For the sampler in "The Sweater Workshop," any worsted weight yarn will work - Jacqueline Fee specifies a 4-strand worsted weight yarn. You can find all of our worsted weight yarns right here.

Beep....New March

Great news, I have completed the skirt, it looks great on. I don't have photos of it yet. That takes a bit of doing....but I have to keep knitting of course. I started on a top to go with the skirt and it looks great.

I began a new dress, yes, I went all the way and decided to knit a dress. I have it now completed to the hip and is it ever going to be neat.
The dress is in pink.

I am knitting a pair of socks for my sister in law and I knitted another sister in law mittens. I knitted a bunch of… Continue
