Although I learned to knit as a youngster, it has only been the last 2 years since discovering Knit Picks that I have become a serious and addicted knitter. This is my first experience at belonging to any kind of online community and a special group. I am excited about this and know it will be a challenging project for me.

Hi Bonnie,
Thanks for adding me as a friend, and a Canadian at that, I wasn't sure if there were any Canadians on the site. So, I see you live in Alberta, well, my husband travels to Alberta every 3 months for work, he is in Fort McMurray. I was out there about a year and a half ago, but got to homesick to stay...I did work, but Cape Breton was calling my name, so home I came, so now he does the travelling.
I was looking at your pictures of all your work, it is lovely, I only hope to be able to knit shawls, sweaters and all other things besides socks, hats, scarves, oh well all in time, I guess.
Well, I have to get back to my glynis socks, hope to stay in touch.
Have a great day...it is snowing here, so I am going to knit the rest of the afternoon.....or until my grandson comes to visit......
Love to have you as a friend. Thanks for the invite! Yeah, an own motorbike is simply a must. Why should men have all the fun?! LOL - Your knits are absolutely gorgeous, too. Have a wonderful weekend (it's nearly 5PM here in the UK). :) Happy knitting. Maria
Thank you very much for your kind comments on my latest shawl, Bonnie. Looking at your pictures, you're doing very well yourself. All the projects look so lovely!
Thank you for your comments Bonnie.
I've just been looking at your photos and particularly love the children's items. I don't think I would have the patience to knit some of the bigger items these days, The grey shawl is certainly versatile and it looks lovely on you. Barbara
Bonnie,
Thanks, If it hadn't been for other people encouraging me, I would never have learned all that I do know about knitting. I appreciate the comment. Susan

Bonnie: We have a 5th wheel, too. All the benefits of camping with few of the drawbacks. I remember years ago, when I was 6 months pregnant, sleeping in a 5' pup tent at Banff with DH and our 40-lb poodle, and no air mattress. Ah, memories! I really appreciate my queen-size bed, our furnace, bathroom and kitchen. Good for you! Have fun in the LYS! --P

Bonnie: Have fun in Missoula! We used to live there a long time ago, and our younger DS graduated from UofM. We were there this summer, too, during our long camping trip. Hope you have a good trip! Do you camp with a tent or do you have something more luxurious? --P
