You inspired me to get back to my eBay listings, so I posted some of my mom's crocheted doilies for sale (in Christmas colors). Have you stopped in at my eBay page yet?

Hi. I've added some photos to the slideshow on my page, showing some of the beautiful alpaca I saw at the Topsfield Fair last month. Take a look when you get a chance! My photos are on "Random" setting so you'll have to watch through all my knitting, too, to see the alpaca.

Your sweaters are really inspiring to me. What kind of yarn do you use the most?

I was so surprised to see someone had written me. I'm very, very new to this and hope I can do it right. I'm also a new knitter. I've mastered the dishcloth, shawls, scarves, etc. that don't have too many complicated instructions. I'm actually going to try Intarsia. I think I can do just a simple knit, purl dishcloth. Thanks for talking to me.

I noticed in the Discussions that you love knitting with Suri Dream. I have recently begun knitting an afghan with it myself and had some questions for you. I notice it seems to shed a lot --I am knitting with hollyberry, the new lovely red shade, and I was wearing stone colored chinos and soon found myself covered with little red fibers. In your experience, does the finished afghan shed? Also, I guess I had different expectations of what the fiber itself would be like, and I find the "hairy" nature of the fiber and the inconsistency of the thickness messy to work with. I have to look carefully while I knit to make sure I am catching the whole stitch. Maybe I am just a neatnik and I could get used to this, because the knit fabric is soft and comfy. But sometimes the "messy" nature of the fiber bugs me. What is your take on knitting with Suri Dream?

your sweaters look great. A very cute critter too. I see you are in Indiana. I lived there some years ago in Indianapolis. You know I will also be turning 50 this year. Not sure how to take it. Though my sister wants to stay at 32 until she gets it right. I suggested she just move on. Enjoyed looking at your photos. Have a great knitty day.

Oh your guinea pig is soo cute! That's so cute that you made him a blanket, too! I guess he's got enough hair that he wouldn't need a sweater! :-)
