Judie, you'll never believe it - I finished the gloves! Hah! I was afraid they would become another UFO in my closet. I've made an early New Year's resolution to finish one old project in between every new one. Since this was an old one I now get to plan my new one ;-). I'm enjoying an early day off from work due to a severe snow storm, which is unusual for our area. We've had over a foot in the last 6 hours and are expected to get up to a foot more. I had to have someone take me to go get chains and put them on for me just so I could leave the clinic parking lot. I'm staying put for awhile.
Thanks for the Thanksgiving greeting, Judie! It was good to hear from you. All my kids came over for the day - it was great. I'm sooo thankful that they all live close. Three of my children have birthdays this month - Sarah will be 15 on the 4th, Daniel will be 25 on the 21st, and Joseph will be 20 on the 30th. My other two are Hannah, age 23, and Samuel, age 17. Hannah is married and has a son, Isaiah, who just turned two. And she and Peter just announced that they are expecting #2 next July. Exciting!! Joseph is a sophomore at WSU in Pullman, studying Landscape Architecture - I keep telling him he can practice on my yard anytime ;-). I'm ashamed to admit how little knitting I've done in the last month. I'm still working on the fingerless gloves. I PROMISE to finish them in the next week (O.K., before the end of the year). I'll let you know when they're done. I hope you are making good progress on your scarves for Christmas. I'd like to try a knitalong for the new year, although I'm not exactly sure how they work. Hope everything is going well for you.
Hi, Julie - nice to meet you, too! Sounds like your weather is about the same as ours - perfect for wearing our handknits. I'm currently finishing up a pair of fingerless gloves as a gift for my youngest daughter. The yarn is so nice I will probably knit a pair for myself next (Plymouth Boku - a tweedy wool/silk self striping yarn - beautiful!). I just received my order of books from KnitPicks October sale today so I'm going to go plan some more projects. Keep in touch.
It's a pleasure to meet you! Appt. went alright. They want to start conservatively, rightly so, with PT. Dr. thinks that a nerve was probably trapped in scar tissue and "broke free", causing the pain. We'll see what happens with the PT and cross any other bridges when and if they present themselves. Thanks for the positive thoughts.

About Me:
I've been knitting for years....but took about 10 years off and quilted my little heart out. Now I'm back doing what I love best -- knitting socks! I do venture into other areas (lace shawls) but always seem to come back to my socks (circular needles-toe up, if you please)! My sister thinks I'm possessed and she's probably right! Retired in Florida with three cats (ages 20 and 15) and a pretty yellow canary.
