Your girls are SO adorable! I remember when you were pregnant with the oldest and now you're on number three... I can't believe how much time has passed!!
Thanks for the invite - I hadn't even thought to find a knitting community yet. :)

What cute girls..I bet they do keep you busy, and yet you have time to knit. When mine were little I never had time for things like that You must be a good time manager LOL......and I like the stuffed animals. I once made a lamb and I think I still have the pattern if you ever want it. It was crocheted and each stitch on the main part of the bady was made by looping a loop of yarn around your thumb before the stitch is secured, so it looks very "wooly". It was really cute and I made a velvet collar with a bell on it for him to wear. The grandkids have long since drug him around till he is completely wrecked, so sorry, no pic,

I'm more of a fantasy and sci-fi kind of person, myself, but I also read a lot of YA. My favorite author at this point is probably Tamora Pierce. How 'bout you?

I want to get up a picture of the group of all the pieces this week when I can carve out a moment. It is the end of the semester and that gets kind of hairy. But a picture this week- I am so excited to finish it (or anything for that matter)
: )!

Sorry I'm getting back to you so late. I just saw your comment!
My girls are 4 and 14 months. Both are just old enough to drive me crazy mosy days. ;o)

Gosh... that's hard to answer because I'm "evolving" as a knitter. Until very recently, I've been a "flat knitter": scarves and afghans mostly. I learned Magic Loop over a year ago, and have ventured into hats and gauntlets/fingerless gloves, which I really enjoy making. I'm hoping to cast on my very first ever sweater, maybe today, and I'm thinking I will like that a lot. I've been wanting to learn sock knitting and I suspect that may become my favorite when I do because I am so "product" oriented... I want to see the end product more than I necessarily enjoy the process of creating it. Although knitting seems to be one area in which that is less true. :-) And I'm hoping to be able to take a class in free form lace knitting... that, I will LOVE.

Right now, though, I'd have to say my favorite thing to knit is gauntlets... and learning new knitting skills. :-)

I saw that you tried to private chat with me on the new chat room thing... I've not figured that out yet and not been able to meet up with anyone there myself. Sorry I missed you!

It's been a while...

I think the last time I posted, I was just announcing my third pregnancy (I found out around 4 wks), and I am now less than a week from my second trimester. So it's been a while! :) But I'm back now. I was too nauseated for a few weeks to do more than the bare minimum on the computer (or anywhere else, for that matter), and then we went on vacation (which was great), and then last week I had Kids' Discipleship Day Camp at church (I was one of the leaders)...but I am finally home and feeling good… Continue

My Most Recent Finished Project

I made the Knitted Kitty (pattern on ravelry)--and I love how it turned out! :) (Got the eyes & nose from Hobby Lobby.)

This one is for my 25 year old sister, who I will be seeing in just a few days! :)

Interpretation, please?

Cast on 16 sts. K 1st row. In the 2nd row, K 10 sts and turn (leaving 6 sts "unknitted"). 3rd row K (this row is shorter now). Repeat these 3 rows 3 times.

Please help? :)

The "Mousies" and the Blanket :)

I finally have pictures of the girls with the mouse stuffed animals I made them for Mother's Day! I got the design from lion brand's website--it's free, and you can find it by doing a search for "super fun critters." I also have pictures of the baby blanket I've started! I'm making it with boy colors (after all, we have two girls already), and I figure if we end up with another girl (which would be just fine as well), then I'll just make another! After all, it's a good excuse to buy more yarn, r… Continue

Pics of My First Stuffed Animal :)

Okay, so this mouse looks kinda funny, but the girls will love it. I've got one down, and one to go. Fortunately, they are quick knits. I love learning new stuff! :) So here are the pics:

Front--The ears are the same size, it's just the angle of the picture… Continue
