Entrelac

People generally use the varigated yarn like I did, crystal palace taos or noro silk garden that I am using. Before I started I did an internet search and a you tube search to see how it was done because the pattern was confusing to me. I found a great site that really helped me and it featured the very same scarf I am making. It is a tutorial and here is the link http://knittyotter.typepad.com/otterknits/2007/03/entrelac_scarf_.html

New Project

I have started a new knit hat. It is called Medusa, I guess because it has squigally cables. It is made with double stranded yarn, of which I am using two leftover colors. One color is the blue leftover from the afghan and the same yarn again in an off white which I will be making a cr… Continue

no, I didn't size it down at all. The shrug is actually really easy to make.

Glad you liked my teddy bears. I made a half dozen of them before the yarn was discontinued. I haven't found any other eyelash yarn that makes as good a fur when knit.

Thanks so much Debbie. I am recovering from carpal tunnel so this is a good way to start exercising!!! Will let you know as I progress.

The Montavilla Market Tote is a Knit Picks design (I think) that is currently available as a kit for 19.99 - pattern and four skeins of yarn included. There is enough of the yarn to make two of the totes, and the yarn alone would cost 19.95... so it isn't a bad deal.

They also have a spa kit (new) for $16+ that includes a carrying bad and several other spa related items. It has been my experience that when they sell these kits, the price of the kit is nearly the price of the yarn, so the pattern is sort of free.

Debbie, Thanks, I assume you are talking about the Market tote.
I have been trying lately to resize all of my pics before putting them on the site - some of the older ones may not be... and sometimes I just get excited and forget to resize.

Thanks for the advice.

Good morning! I saw the pattern for the Felted Entrelac Tote by going to Freebies and then patterns. It doesn't look like your scarf though, which I really like the colors in it. I haven't started the tote yet. I found instructions on how to do entrelac but I haven't found a yarn I want to use yet. Have a great day!

We love Cavaliers. Our little tri-color passed away a year ago this month and we miss him dearly. Abby, seen in the picture, is our baby girl. Do you happen to live in the Pacific Northwest?
