Hey Dianna!
I checked out some of your books at the Lacemaker. I haven't got in my sewing room to see what I have, but I was interested in a couple.
The concert was great! To see those guys playing on cellos while headbanging was quite unusual to say the least but what talent!!Wow! I was blown away and I'm sure many that never heard this were too. Audience reaction was amazing.
We have an upcoming Clapton concert that I'm really looking forward to.
I'm still working on the lace scarf, I should have had it done by now but I usually stitch at work and I've been too busy to get it out of my bag. I did go to knitting class last night and refreshed myself on a beaded scarf that I need to finish. My best friend wants to do it so I needed to be able to teach her. It is worked from the bottom to the middle then joined in the center. Quite pretty.
I just love your bag 'Cloe', it is beautiful!! You need to come over this end of the country and teach at Hector or Palmetto or even Ayr. I'd love to get together in person.
At my knitting class last night I showed the ladies how to tat but they just watched, not a true lesson just a demo.
Speaking of demos, I am doing a day of tatting demo at Clarion State U. at Venango campus in Pennsylvania on June 7th.
I'll just do a simple bookmark or lace trim that is mindless. I always have a nice display with my old babydoll with an antique bonnet and other tatted items. We're going to be outdoors this year so I hope it doesn't rain or isn't windy. My friend sitting next to me will be demoing bobbin lace.
Others will demo quilting, basketry, etc.
This is the community heritage days 2nd year.
I also play a mountain dulcimer and may be doing a few songs also. I don't know that yet.
Well, what is upcoming for you? My summer calenday is filling up fast.
Hopefully it will get a little warmer, I have herbs to get in the garden but it's still down in the 40's and 30's here at night so I won't risk them yet.
Well, let me know what's up on your end. Talk to you soon, Cyndi.

Yes, my class was a success as you might have read in the blog. The above picture is the bag Cloe'. The pattern was mostly diagrams with beads. Oh, yes, I love tatting with beads. Beads were my answer to updating tatting. Everyone loves beads and tatters love to tat, and the combination of the two are dynamite.

Just got back from Spokane and the Shuttlebirds tatting event. Guess who was there? Karey Solomon. I finally got to meet her. Eventually I would like to go to Hector. The event was fun and the class I taught was successful. What is up in your corner of the world?

No, I don't live in OH. In live in WA. Yes, you probably know my name and website. Domestic Arts is my website and I have written many tatted books of my designs. I have taught at several of the guilds around the country. It is good to see other lacemakers.

Would love to see some of your tatted and lace works. There are a couple of lacemaking guilds in the OH area. However, it is a large area to cover.

You will like bobbin lace. It is quite fun. I began with Torchon and learned from Doris Sothard's book. Now, I do bobbin lace with fine copper wire.
