I love it!
I am trying to put together my first knitting book and I am pondering the idea for creating a fun teddybear pattern or possibly asking permission for publishing an established pattern for charity knit.
I'm very new to using a computer, so I don't always remember where I 'met' someone. Thanks for your response to my 'bio'.
I can't recall what I posted, but clearly something about my Scottish heritage. I'm involved with the clan society of my paternal grandmother's clan, have been a Scottish country dancer, have studied Gaelic, and have, of course visited Scotland several times.
Although I no longer am able to dance, I'm still involved with a dance group. One year, at our "Tartan Ball", there were four men dancing in socks created by me! Many years ago, in Scotland, I bought a book that teaches you how to make your own sock patterns, depending on the yarn you want to use--an excellent resource. I'm not really a yarn snob. In fact, one friend for whom I made a pair of kilt socks, a piper who had worn wool socks all his life, said he liked my creations because they didn't itch---they were made from acrylic. Not only that, but as a single Dad he doesn't have time to hand wash his socks, so he likes that these ones go right into the washer and dryer and back on!
Enough nonsense for now ,Cheers, Cathie
I'm in Delaware too, where's seaford?
I just started knitting at Christmas 2008 (well I did knit a long time ago when I was 8 or so a couple of completely forgettable dishcloths) Anyway, thanks for inviting me to be your friend!
Your projects look like fun and definitely quick knits! My decision to start with a scarf meant my first project went unfinished! Ha!
Cheers,
Kendra
I feel inspired to do some bears and Christmas ornaments now as well!
