My first pair of socks. They fit perfectly, but when they are off they look lind of funny. You know how when you see a pair of socks they are thinner through the ankle part of your foot? For some reason mine aren't. But hey, they were the first pair & hopefully the next pair will look better. I'm going to keep them just the way that they are :)

I could have sworn that I seen a beautiful blanket that was made from scrap sock yarn. It was 5 sided ( I think) and very pretty. Do you think I could find it now? No. Not that I have made that many socks, I finally finished 1 after 3 different patterns and taking countless ones apart. I do however have a bunch of leftover yarn that I would like to use up & thought that it would be a perfect thing to make.
What do you do with all of your leftover yarn?

Not really to knitting, but here to this site.
Ive knitted tons of plain hats & scarfs, mittens when the kids were smaller & a bunch of blankets. What I really wanted to learn how to knit was socks. When Michaels fianlly started to carry the yarn, I used my coupons and quickly ended up with a bag of sock yarn.
