The Kiki Mariko rug is a wonderful design. Are you making it with Lamb's Pride Bulky? The two Mason Dixon books are my favorite's for browsing and reading (so funny!) What is your favorite book for learning to knit socks? I hope you post a picture of your new rug when finished. Happy knitting.

Hi, Katy - I noticed you're from Portland, too. (I was born and raised there but live in SE Washington now). What are you currently working on? I'm working a cabled cashmere scarf, my first cashmere anything - VERY nice to work with. My '09 knitting goal is to learn to make socks; seems basic to most knitters but I've never made a pair. Should be fun.

Well, drat -- I'm pretty sure I just lost a comment without sending it! Love finding gals on the West Coast, who are into beaches & coffee & knitting -- though I'm struggling with the fact that if I'm blogging, I'm not KNITTING --! And I do so enjoy both ... can't wait to see how your Dayflower turns out -- love the color!

Ahhhh green tea. I'm a believer in that too. Much healthier for us anyway, but I admit to falling off the wagon for a good cup of coffee. I live in a rural area, and I mean rural. We don't have Starbucks or Tim Hortons here so when I get to Toledo or some other metro area I pull over first chance I get. I also love book stores, but now I'm wondering if I like them more for the coffee they serve or the books. hahahaha.

Good morning Katy,
I have to be honest,,,,,,I clicked on your page because of your name, "what Katy did". It just made me smile. I too enjoy lots of coffee and lots of knitting. Thank goodness you can do both of those things at the same time.
See you in the forums.
