Every Way Wrap

I was so excited about the Every Way Wrap when it came out in the Fall 2009 issue of Interweave Knits. I had never knit reversible cables before (unlike regular cables, this cable pattern looks good on both sides; there isn't an obvious front and back - which means you're crossing s… Continue

Stash Organization

I'm on vacation this week, but I thought I'd share a video I took last week while I was home during the photoshoot day. I recently reorganized my yarn stash (and frankly am rather embarrassed by the meagerness of my stash, but now that I can see it all, I'll be much more inspired to start projects!).

I got those great tubs at Target. And, here are links to some other knitting supplies I find indispensable:… Continue

    About Me:
I'm the vice president of Knit Picks. Mostly, I do number crunching, merchandising planning and product development. I love that my job mixes the creative with the analytical.

I've been knitting for about 7 years, and I try to learn something new with each project - except for the little projects that keep popping up just for fun, and socks, always socks. I also love to sew, read, hike, and daydream about home improvement projects (I see a big garden in my future).

Hi Tina, I just joined the UFO KAL and watched your intro video. Very nice! I have too many UFO's to video or post pics of (sad but true), but I just thought I'd tell you that I am doing the cable coat (your #1UFO of video). I have both sleeves done and am about 1/4 or more done with the back. Mine is in a heather teal it is gorgeous and my goal was to have it done for this fall-well Fall is here and the coat is in my UFO bin ;-/ SO, maybe we can inspire each other on this project. Actually, like you, I have several unstarted UFO's that are gifts for Christmas so I am planning on "saving" the cable coat for after the Holidays-that is my "reasonable" new goal. Thanks for starting this KAL...it will be great fun and hopefully motivation for me.

thanks for showing the photo shoot! also, re the waterbottles. would you photo one of them? (would that ruin the fun for your gift recipients?) i have to admit that i am intrigued, but wouldn't know what one looks like or where to get one.

also, are you giving the bottle too, or only the cover.

What is the deal with all the junk posts on the blog page recently? Is there a way to kick these ppl off Knit Picks?

    Love KP!

Tina==don't know who to mention this to --I have gotten 2 messages lately that were obviously spam--just deleted one that alleged to want to be friends--a work scheme. Just thought you all should know that some one is abusing the fun. Thanks--

Hi Tina! Thanks for the "friendvite!" I've been knitting since about age 12. Taught myself to knit using 2 pencils & a ball of kite string. I've been working on a Debbie Bliss smock dress for my granddaughter, but currently have health issues affecting my vision. I don't know when the eyes will settle down so I can start some serious lace! Love the KnitPicks family, website, & products!

Thank you Tina for accepting me as a friend!! And thank you for all you do. You are a great inspiration in my knitting and I love how involved you are with all of us knitters. I am pretty sure I met you in person once. At least I think it was you who ran the focus group meetings for the Harmony needles. :) I have a bad memory though.
