About Me:
I have been well blessed. I spend part of my life in Milwaukee and the other part in Daytona Beach. I can't wait until my hubby and I can spend most of our time in Dayton Beach and the rest of it on our boat. I love to knit, read and spend time with my family and friends in both places.

Yesterday I ordered the new sock blanks that Knit Picks has I can't wait to get the order. I really don't need another project but what kind of knitter would I be with out a bunch of projects on needles all at one time. I plan on doing at least one blank with cool aid. I almost have the blanket that I am making for my soon to come grandson done. It will be nice not to have the blanket sitting in my lap when the warm weather finally gets to WI. It will also be nice to start a lighter project.… Continue

So I woke up this very early this morning because my bed was moving. Not for that reason...Eddie was at the fire house!! At first I thought maybe we are having an earthquake or maybe I am having a seizure. I sat up in bed and came to the conclusion that it wasn't a seizure. I went back to sleep and decided to turn on the TV when I got up. First thing in the morning I turned on the TV to find out that it was an earthquake!! I really was feeling the earth move under my feet...I know that's a… Continue

It is so true about the connection between knitters of all ages. And all the knitters I have met are such nice people!

Thank you for your kind words! The slide show was simple to do. Once you download some photos, the slide show is instantly created. You don't have to do anything special to make it work. First you click on the My Photos tab above. Then click on Add Photos. Once you have downloaded the photos, they show up on your Page as a slide show. Cool, huh?

Thanks for sharing your courthouse story! That's unbelievable that they would throw your crochet hook in the trash. Wow!

Hope you will post some photos of your work!

Hi, Tammy,
Thanks for commenting on my blog about my Kauni sweater. It took me about 3 or 4 months to complete. It would have taken less time, but I was working on other projects at the same time. I also frogged the sweater the first time around after I had knit several inches up the body and my gauge was off and it was clear it was not going to fit me.

The sleeves seemed to take forever. I don't know why but they just dragged on. The weather has been so nice that I haven't even had the chance to wear my sweater yet, but I do look forward to wearing it.

Oh, yeah, I read about that quake centered in southeastern Illinois this morning...wow...that's amazing that you felt it in Milwaukee!
