You sound crazy-busy with the afghans. I think it is wonderful that you are doing one for each of your sons. My grandmother made them for us when I was a child, and I still remember both of them vividly - she did one granny-square and one zigzag. I spent many happy hours nestled underneath them - especially when I stayed home sick from school. It's great to create those childhood memories for your children.
