Margie, no problem. Kelley has really worked really hard on these. She started out with explaining sock construction. I think there are a total of 10 right now. When you go to the Sock KAL they are currently listed on the first 2 pages of the different discussions. The first ones are on page 2.

Have fun with them

I'm certainly glad you are back to knitting your socks. Have you seen Kelley's videos on socks? She doing a great job with them. She just posted a bunch of new ones yesterday. They can be found in the Sock KAL.

TIAs can be scary. I hope your DH is doing okay.

How's Sheldon what part are you having trouble with? I have one in peaces if you kneed to see I can post a pic of the parts if that helps.

I have given up knitting all together.. I was getting myself so frustrated I decided it wasn't worth it. Maybe I'll take a short vacation from needles and yarn and try again later..

First, Margie, don't get frustrated with it. Knitting should be relaxing. There are lots out there that have taught themselves to knit, including in this knitting community. Susan the Blue Lake Knitter comes to mind as one. I learned to knit from my mom when young but didn't knit for almost 40 years before picking it up again. So we can help you through this.

Have you ever knit in the round on double pointed needles?

Here are some videos to review:
Working on DPNs
On one circular (not magic loop)
On one circular (KP's video)
Another on one circular.

Go here for a link to all the videos on YouTube about knitting in the round.

Margie,

First you can get the Mr. Foster pattern by going to KP's patterns. It is now a download for $4.99, I think. It gives you all the patterns for all the clothes.

Second, I just left you a comment in the Sock KAL. Click on this for a link to that comment. There I give you some instructions on how to maneuver through this site. Let me know if you need anymore help!

How is Sheldon doing? Did you finish him yet I have one in peaces, that I need to put together. Don't worry the first one takes the longest to make I'm on #4.
Let me know if you need anymore help. I also made mine with smaller kneedles 2.75 and a #3 yarn.
Happy knitting

Here is a tutorial on how to do a kfb. We also have a kfb tutorial on the Knit Picks website, but we call it a "bar increase".

I'm assuming you are having trouble with the shell. I don't have the pattern in front of me but I understand your problem with it. You need to do exactly what it says even if it doesn't make sense. I will check the pattern and be more specific when I get home.

Have you thought about joining a Sheldon knitalong? Some of the knitters there might have some good tips!
